The fact that journalism is often compared with other ancient profession, prostitution, unpleasant fact, but it is true. Information is the power: the word can heal, maim, save and even kill. And knowing which kind of power they have, the media turned the information into a commodity. Someone sells vacuum cleaners, someone – boots or strollers, but the newspaper of Verkhovna Rada "Voice of Ukraine" sells freedom of speech, underhandedly.

How? For example, you became a victim or witness acts of corruption, embezzlement and other malfeasance of authorities in our country. You come in the newspaper "Voice of Ukraine", believing that it is that one, who must enforce the law. You write a letter to the chief editor of this newspaper, Anatoly Gorlov, appending 8 files of archived documents confirming you are right. And you're not just some kind of feisty type or schizo, you are a group of 14 respected people in the human medicine: professors, doctors, veterans of the Afghan war, Chernobyl cleanup veterans! So, you are applying in the newspaper of the Verkhovna Rada with a request to investigate the situation. You don`t claim journalists consent with you, you're asking them just to do independent journalistic investigation and to publish their findings in the newspaper. You call for justice, and you get the response: we will deal with the matter. And then begins the play where the same plot, there is one difference – new actors.

You call the newspaper reporter who deals with your matter, and he complains and says, that we are poor journalists, we receive minor pay, and there is no money for petrol to come to you. You are shocked, "Oh, poor journalists, they have to fulfill their professional duty under such difficult conditions!". And you try to help them as much as you can. Time passes, you again call the journalist and hear: "I don`t deal with your matter, it is the matter of Ivan Ivanov." You apologize, call Ivanov and again hear about the problematic life of the journalist. Again help them as much as you can. And once again it turns out that your matter has already handed over to someone else. In desperation, you address to the chief editor, he promised! But the answer is that he promised nothing. But it turns out that some 250 dollars can significantly simplify the process of writing the article. You pay and then wait. After all, truth is worth the effort! But it is no sense. Then you go to the Prosecutor's Office, asking them to interfere and check the legality of the actions of the officers of the newspaper "Voice of Ukraine" (please be reminded, the newspaper of the Verkhovna Rada, grant-maintained and have no problems either with the salary fund, no with petrol!).

This story is not fiction. Currently, the investigation department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, in Shevchenko district, Kiev, makes investigation into fraud on the part of the newspaper "Voice of Ukraine" in the person of its chief editor Gorlov Anatoly and his deputy Sergei Demskiy against Vladimir Vasilevich, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor, member of the order of Honor and Merit, the winner of the gold medal "Honorable scientist of Rome", Robert Koch Medal, Rudolf Virchow Medal, the owner of the badge "Leader of Ukraine", honorable scientists of Hannover, and his 13 colleagues (criminal appeal No 2015100100000506 from 01.18.2015).

The investigation is continued, and we are following the progression of events and will keep you informed. Moreover, the lawyers of the Public Organization "Freedom Voice" will also deal with the matter and ensure: we do not allow this case "accidentally" to be closed; we will make sure that the case will be followed through the line. Further we are ready to appear for them. After all, the newspaper "Voice of Ukraine" should to be punished for its crimes!
