On September 18, 2012, Verkhovna Rada adopted on the first reading bill to strengthen liability for libel.

How can we adopt this law? After all, it will cut down completely the opportunities of reporters to speak mind free.

Authors of Internet-project "Freedom Voice" fully support the movement against the adoption of the law on defamation in the social network Facebook. Also, we join the human rights activists «Freedom House» and journalists who understand that freedom of speech will be destroyed.

We will criticize this bill until it is canceled. Everyone understands that it is for the reason the bill should be adopted ahead of the elections on October 28 ... It is possible, if the authority agitates the people not via idle promises, but via particular actions, nobody will have for what to criticize it.

The main task of journalists was and will be is to reveal honestly failures of the authority and its crimes. We are confident and aware that we are reght. We will not give authorities to suffocate freedom of speech in our country!
