May 13, 2015 at 00.30 A.M. at the intersection of Pushkin and Gorky str. was made an attempt on the life of the president of the NGO "Voice of Freedom" Gusiev Volodymyr and his deputy, and CEO of "Global Vision" Laliani Iosyf.

They were brutally beaten up by four men, one of whom was dressed in camouflage uniforms.

Fortunately, they survived. Delivered in Cherkassy city hospital in serious condition. Personal injury, concussion, broken ribs. A criminal case was initiated. The investigation is underway. We consider several versions: professional and personal reasons. It's no secret that in recent years Volodymyr Gusev and Iosyf Laliani are very active in the field of human rights protection. They have investigated and initiated a lot of high-profile cases in which criminal cases were opened against the corruption of officials. They received threats regularly, but they do not stop helping people. This incident is likely related to their professional activity in the public organization "Voice of Freedom".

At this stage, the health of Volodymyr Gusiev and Iosyf Laliani are satisfactory, there is no threat to life. We hope for an impartial investigation of the crime.
